Michael Okech
A More Considered Approach to Movement.
Michael Okech is a Certified Stretch Specialist and co-founder of NY Stretch with more than a decade of experience in fitness and movement. A former competitive rugby player, personal trainer and Postural Restoration practitioner, Michael brings a deep understanding of the body—and the relationship between mobility, alignment and performance—to every session.
His work is grounded in a simple belief: moving well begins with a body that can move with greater freedom, balance and intention. Through a highly individualized approach, Michael combines specialized assisted stretching techniques with an informed understanding of posture, movement mechanics and the body's interconnected systems.
Michael's training includes Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) and extensive study through the Postural Restoration Institute, including Impingement and Instability and PRI for Fitness and Movement Professionals. He is also an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer.
Drawing on both his athletic background and years of movement education, Michael approaches each session with precision and purpose. His goal extends beyond simply increasing flexibility—to help clients develop greater ease of movement, improved body awareness and a more balanced physical foundation.
At Apartment AB, Michael offers a private, considered approach to assisted stretching and mobility designed to complement an active lifestyle, support physical longevity and help the body move at its best.
